Can I enrol at Greendale?

Our books are currently closed to new patients.


What is the best way to give positive feedback or make a complaint?

At Greendale Family Health Centre we are dedicated to ensuring your patient experience is a positive one. If there are aspects of your care which you are not satisfied with, we invite you to discuss these with our Practice Manager (phone 844 8071) or you can complete our feedback form here.


How can I pay my bill?

You can pay several ways:

  • via online banking (our bank account number is listed on your invoice)

  • at the surgery via cash, eftpos or by cheque

  • you can set up an Automatic Payment from your bank or internet banking


Can I change my GP within the practice?

It is our policy not to permit changes to GPs. Please contact Maria Elstone, Practice Manager if you would like to discuss this.


Can I have a home visit?

We do not currently routinely offer home visits. However, if you are an elderly patient genuinely unable to attend the surgery your doctor can visit you at home if you live in Napier. Requests for house calls are best made before 10am. A nurse will call you back to assess your situation, but please be aware, many problems are not safely manageable in the home, and the best management may not be in-home by your GP.

Can I get repeat prescriptions?

There is a 48-hour turn around for a repeat prescription. This is part of our Pharmaceutical Policy and enable us to ensure e deliver quality care every time.

Please ring between 10am and 4pm and be sure you know the name of the medication you require. If you haven’t been seen in the last 6 months, you may be asked to send an appointment for review.

Please don’t forget, if you are going on holiday, to ensure you have enough of your medication and order early to avoid extra charges.

Should you require a repeat prescription urgently, there is an additional fee. Normal repeat script is $10. Urgent/same day repeat prescription is $15.


What should I do if I need after hours services?

If you feel you have a significant illness, and after-hours treatment or advice is required, our after-hours service is run by City Medical, Wellesley Road, Napier. Our GPs routinely participate in the City Medical roster.
